After entering public accounting in 1978, Chan became a founding principal of Livings, Lankford, Lambert & Co., P.C in 1986. For over 35 years, Chan has been offering his clients a full range of assurance and tax services in various industries, with specialties in closely-held businesses which include wholesale, retail, real estate, and employee benefit plans. He also provides services for nonprofit clients as well as individual tax preparation.

Chan is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery where he has served as a member and/or chairman of the Accounting Committee of the Alabama National Fair for over 20 years. He is a member of Frazer United Methodist Church and is involved in the orchestra as well as other ministries of the church. He coached baseball, softball, basketball and soccer for Dixie Youth and the YMCA, and served as a league official for Dixie Youth baseball and softball. In addition, he has served as an officer for the Glynnwood Homeowner’s Association.

Chan graduated from Auburn University – Montgomery with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received his certification in 1982.

Chan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.

In his free time, Chan enjoys playing trombone, hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his wife, kids and four grandchildren.
